After a six-hour drive from Pokhara, you can reach Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Born in 623 B.C. in the famous gardens of Lumbini, it has become a place of pilgrimage. The site is now being developed as a Buddhist pilgrimage centre with significant archaeological remains.
