The stunning Damodar Kunda, a holy lake nestled in the Upper Mustang area of Nepal, is a special place for Hindu devotees. The lake is also known as the primary source of the Kali Gandaki River and is a great spot for finding Shaligram. According to local legends, Damodar Kunda holds great significance. It is believed that Gods Shiva and Parvati left parts of their garments here. Visitors partaking in the Damodar Kunda Yatra are said to be cleansed of their sins by taking a dip in the holy waters. Ancient texts also mention that a deep bath in the Kunda can free individuals from all their sins. One story even recounts how two sons of Kubera were relieved of their past sins after following Lord Krishna's advice to bathe in the kunda.
