The temple is situated at the summit of a small hill and can be accessed via stone staircases from the East and Northeast. The primary temple is dedicated to the goddess Bindhyabasini. The term “Bindhya” denotes the incarnation of a goddess, and “Basini” signifies the resident of a place. This is the oldest temple in the city of Pokhara.
